Adam F. Quillen Adam F. Quillen, age 82, of Troy, Ohio passed away at 4:11AM on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Heartland of Piqua. He was born on February 19, 1927 in Load, Kentucky to the late Charley W. Quillen Sr. and Ida Mae Hannah Quillen. His wife of 62 years, Mona Joyce Curry Quillen, survives. Other survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law: Steve and Patricia Quillen and Ronald K. Quillen Sr. all of Troy and Adam W. and Carole Quillen of Logan, Ohio; brothers and sisters: Eva May Hixson of Cadillac, Michigan, Judy Sprinkle of Troy, LeRoy Quillen of Miamisburg, Ohio, Gerald Quillen of Sidney, Ohio, Michael Quillen of Indiana and Jill Quillen of Sidney, Ohio; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Adam was preceded in death by one son, John W. Quillen Sr. and brothers: William T. Quillen and Charlie W. Quillen Jr. He was a US Army WWII Veteran and a member of First Baptist Church, Troy, American Legion Post #43, and VFW Post #5436, Troy. Adam retired from the Frigidaire Division of the General Motors Company after 37 years of service. Services will be held at 7:00PM on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Dale R. Christian officiating. Friends may call from 5-7PM Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Quillen Family Cemetery, Greenup, Kentucky. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 53 S. Norwich Road, Troy, Ohio 45373. Friends may express condolences to the family through www.bairdfuneralhome.com.
