Roger L. Rasor

Roger L. Rasor, age 96, of Tipp City, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on July 16, 1922 in Troy to the late Daniel B. Rasor and Naomi (Wion) Rasor.

Roger is survived by his wife of 75 years: Glenna M. (Lesher) Rasor; children: Bruce Rasor of Springfield; Gary A. Rasor of Columbus; and Timothy B. (Lynne) Rasor of New London, WI; grandchildren:  Renee (Jim) Downhower of Columbus; Ryan Rasor of Columbus; Heather (Ted) Watter of Sykesville, MD; Nevin Rasor of Milwaukee, WI; Dr. Zachary Rasor of Roanoke, VA; and Paul Rasor of Conifer, CO; and great grandchildren: Megan, Ellie and Max. 

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Roger was a graduate of Elizabeth High School.   He also served in the US Army Air Corp in WWII for 3 years, 3 months and 3 days.

Roger was a member of the United Methodist Church, Monroe Grange, and Dayton Dulcimer Club.  He loved music including playing guitar and harmonica.   Roger was a building contractor, carpenter, area farmer and also taught carpentry at Greenville High School.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Tipp City United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Glover officiating.  Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City with military honors provided by VFW Honor Guard.   Friends may call from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 prior to the service.
