Robert Eugene Avey

Robert Eugene Avey, “Just call me Bob”, age 79, of Troy passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit.  He was born on March 12, 1939 in Sidney, OH to Harold and Ann (Sipe) Avey.

Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Susan (Hales); children: Nan (Earl) Avey-King of Jeffersonville, IN; Robert (Brenda Yearen) Avey II, Teresa  (Philip)Avey Fischer and Renee Marsh all of Troy, OH; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother: Harold (Sandra) Avey Jr; and sister: Marilyn Jeffers .

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother: William Avey, sisters: Joy D. Cotrell and Joyce Elaine Avey and son-in-law: Larry Marsh.

Bob attended Troy High School.  He retired from Brandt Trailer Sales, Dayton, OH after 30 years of service.  He was a wonderful loving husband and father. He loved going to the YMCA and the Troy Senior Center, loved fishing, and was the best salesman ever.

Services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH.  Interment will take place in Casstown Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00AM-1:00PM on Friday.
