Neil Lawrence Webster

Neil Lawrence Webster, age 76, of Troy, OH passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit.  Neil was born on October 10, 1941 in Rome, NY to the late Melvin Lewis and June Ruth (Mitchell) Webster.  Neil was married to his wife of 46 years: Phyllis Jean and she preceded him in death on August 29, 2017.

Neil is survived by his son: Gerald (Kristin) Webster of Covington; daughter: Catherine (Ronald) McFarland of Bradford; half-brother: Frank Hirsch of NJ; half-sisters: Bernadette and Ruth Ann Hirsch both of CA and Mary Lee (Jack) Hewes of WA; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Neil was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Jessica Webster; sister: Joy Cole and half-sister: Rebecca Hirsch.

Neil served his country as a member of US Army National Guard.  He was formerly employed with Hobart Brothers Company and Wal-Mart.  He was an active member of the Troy Senior Citizens Center.  He was a past member of the Troy Lions Club, Melody Men and First Baptist Church of Troy.  He and his wife enjoyed square dancing, line dancing, clogging and round dancing.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Doug Magin officiating.  Interment will take place in Ithaca Cemetery, Ithaca, OH.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
