Miriam Dolorus Cawley, age 93, of Troy, OH went to be with her Savior on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at her residence.  She was born on October 25, 1923 in West Milton, OH to the late Burlin and Mina (Dickey) Overholser.  Miriam was married to Charles Richard “Dick” Cawley and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Miriam is survived by her daughter: Sharon Walker of Troy; son: Steven R. (Diane) Cawley of Ft. Myers, FL; sister: Yvonne Chaney of Troy; sister-in-law: Anne Overholser of Troy; grandchildren: Dolly Schauer and Shelley (Shane) Dixon both of Troy and Derek (Sharon) Schauer of Powell; five great grandchildren; Trey Schauer and Mikayla and Madison Dixon, all of Troy and Regen and Dane Schauer of Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, Miriam was preceded in death by her brothers: Harold “Shorty” and Gerald ”Jake” Overholser; son-in-law: John Walker; and her dog: Zoe.

Miriam was a member of the Troy Church of the Brethren and Elks Lodge of Troy.  She loved to play bingo.  Miriam enjoyed her family and her many friends.  She formerly worked with Deweys Market and Wight’s Drug Store.  Miriam and her husband, Dick, owned and operated Cawley’s Restaurant on the square in downtown Troy.

Private interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
