Michael Edward Brokschmidt, age 72, of Tipp City, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Troy on September 21, 1946 to the late William H. and Rose Marie (O’Conner) Brokschmidt.
Michael is survived by his wife of 50 years: Kay (Mikels) Brokschmidt; children: Marlane (Joel) Webb of Marion, IN and Charles (Leah Dunevant) Brokschmidt of Vandalia; brothers: Bob (Deb) Brokschmidt of Wichita, KS; Tom (Susan) Tamplin of Wichita, KS; Tim (Carol) Tamplin of GA and Jim (Vanessa) Tamplin of AZ; sisters: Vickie Razor of Huber Heights and Darlene (Bob) Beane of Florida; Sister-in-laws: Viv Brokschmidt of Wichita, KS and Christina Brokschmidt of Versailles; grandchildren: Alayna and Kayla Webb; Allison and Nicole Brokschmidt; Blaine and Kaylena Brokschmidt; and Gabby Dunevant.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by brothers: Gene, Pat and Bill Brokschmidt; sister: Tina Minnick.
He proudly served his country as a US Marine, serving in Vietnam during 1966-1968. He attended the Troy Church of the Nazarene and was a carpenter.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Jeff Rollison officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-12:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
