Matthew Lee Percel, 31, of Tipp City Ohio passed away Sunday June 4th, 2017 at his residence.

He was born July 30, 1985 in Middleburg Heights, OH the oldest child of Phillip and Jane (Reef) Percel.  He attended Miami East Schools and graduated in 2004.  He attended Edison State Community College and earned an Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology/Manufacturing Systems in 2008.  He grew up in and was confirmed at First United Church of Christ in Troy, OH.  Currently, he was attending Ginghamsburg Church faithfully serving youth in Sunday school, vacation bible school, and mission trips.  His love for the Lord grew by serving the youth and attending Recovery services and Recovery groups there.

He will be remembered as a creative, adventurous, fun loving man who enjoyed the thrill of new experiences, always with style. He loved his family and was especially proud of his Hungarian heritage, enjoyed time with friends and his two beloved Pit Bulls.  He enjoyed watching basketball and football, and was a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan.

Matt leaves behind his longtime love Kassie Lother and their daughter Kylin.  In addition, his Grandfather William Percel, parents Phillip and Jane (Reef) Percel, and brothers Nicholas (Bridget Gibson) and Eric (Ashley Owen) Percel, all survive him.  Preceding him in death were maternal grandparents Homer and Delphene (Williams) Reef and his paternal grandmother Adelheid (Hofmann) Percel.

A service of celebration in Matt’s honor will be held Saturday June 17 at 10:00 am at Ginghamsburg Church, 6759 S County Rd 25A, Tipp City, OH 45371. Lunch will be provided after the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
