Louise Estella Dale Shroyer

Louise Estella Dale Shroyer, age 93, of Troy, OH passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.  She was born on February 15, 1924 in Hartford City, IN to the late Lawrence and Lyda (Morrin) Dale.  Louise was married to husband: Franklin D. Shroyer and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1986.

Louise is survived by son: Mark Dale Shroyer of Holland, TX; daughter and son-in-law: Mary Louise (Shroyer) Boss and William E. Boss, III of Troy, OH; brother: David (Ruth) Dale of Houston, TX; and granddaughter: Madison Haynie of Round Rock, TX.  In addition to her parents and her husband: Louise was preceded in death by her son: Franklin Todd Shroyer; brothers: Charles Dale and Richard Dale; and sisters: Eleanor Dale Barringer and Suzanne Dale Baker.

Louise graduated from Covington High School in Covington, OH.  She attended Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church.  Louise was involved with Miami County Mental Health and helped establish Safe Haven in Piqua.  After graduation from high school, she moved to San Francisco, CA.  After returning to Troy, she worked as an executive secretary at Troy Sunshade.  After her marriage, she worked with her husband at Shroyer Brothers Construction Company.  Louise was the president of Merrimont Development Corporation from 1986 to the date of her passing.  She loved gardening and was part of the Miami County Garden Club.  Louise loved children and animals and always wanted a safe environment for them to thrive.  Louise loved her family and was totally devoted to them all. 

Services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy with the Chaplain David Parker officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
