Kimberly K. Athey

KIMBERLY K. ATHEY, age 60, of Troy, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on November 8, 1958 in Piqua, OH to Rose Ann (Barnhart) Lyme and the late Ralph Levon Lyme.

In addition to her mother, Kimberly is survived by her husband of 39 years: Jeff Athey; children: Josh (Lisa) Athey of Westerville, Justin (Lacey) Athey of Troy, and Elizabeth (Justin Hinesley) Athey of Troy; brother: Eric (Kathy) Lyme of Brandon, FL; sister: Carol (Phil) Sobel of Chester, NJ; mother-in-law: Jane Athey; aunts and uncles: Elaine (Eldean) Glick of Darke County, OH and Ronald (Linda) Lyme of Bradford, OH; and two grandsons: Liam and Michael.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law: Stuart Athey.

Kimberly was a 1977 graduate of Troy High School. She retired in 2016 from Hobart Corporation after 40 years of service. She was a member of Troy Church of the Brethren. In her free time, Kimberly loved traveling to the Caribbean and spending time with family and friends.

Service will be held at 7:00 PM on October 28, 2019 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Pastor Jon Keller officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
