John Robert Adams

JOHN ROBERT ADAMS, age 88, of Troy, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Koester Pavilion in Troy.  He was born on August 5, 1930 in Springfield, OH to the late Harry and Iva (Morgan) Adams. 

John is survived by his wife of almost 44 years: Lois (Farmer) Adams; children: Steven Paul Adams of Troy and Michael Lane (Jenny) Adams of Brunswick; step-children: Marvin Peters of Alaska; Greg (Beth) Peters of Troy; and Kathy (Timothy) Voris of Troy; grandchildren: Bryan Adams; Eric Peters; Megan Voris; Dana Leanard; Andrew Peters; Nathan Voris;  Kyle Peters; Monica Gaige; and Mattea Peters; 13 great-grandchildren; sister: Dorothy Ball of Springfield; niece: Belinda Montgomery; and nephews: Dennis Ball an Rick Neer.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.

John was a member of Bethel Community Church and enjoyed golf.  John retired from ministry at Maplewood in Springfield, DeGraff and Delta.   He also was a carpenter and a railroad station agent and telegraph operator.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on May 4, 2019 at Bethel Community Church, 4400 Osborn Road, Medway, OH with Rev. Rick Fiste officiating.   Friends may visit with the family following the service at the church.  Interment will have taken place in Fletcher Chapel in Harmony Township, OH.
