Jimmie Lee Phillips

Jimmie Lee Phillips, age 85, of Tipp City, OH passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on August 6, 1932 in Boone County, Nebraska to the late LeRoy and Thelma (Riddle) Phillips. 

Jim is survived by his children: Teresa Marie Phillips of Troy; Rhonda (Larry) Peffer of Indianapolis, IN and Franklin L. (Lori) Phillips of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren: Morgan Phillips, Katherine Phillips, John Phillips and Laurel (Shane) Peffer Price and great grandchildren: Jameson and Nora Price.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Marilyn Sue Phillips on April 8, 2018 and his brother: Jackie L. Phillips.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees from Ball State University and furthered his graduate studies at The Ohio State University.  He was owner and operator of the Sunset Medical Laboratories from 1971-1992.  He later retired as the Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity in Miami County.

Jim served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy.

Private interment will take place in Boone Cemetery, St. Edwards, Nebraska.  Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Miami and Shelby Counties, 150 East Race Street, Troy, OH 45373.
