James “Tyler” George, age 38, of Charleston, S.C. departed his earthly life October 26, 2018. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Tara George, sister and brother-law, Kathryn and Chris Edwards, his cherished nieces and nephew, Georgie, Beckett, and Nash. He is also survived by Mark Kirschner, uncle, Leah White, aunt, several cousins, and his buddies, his dog Mazzie and cat Tiny T. Tyler enjoyed Charleston, the city of gorgeous sunrises, shimmering water, and awesome sunsets, but also because it is where he met the love of his life, Amy Jo Meyers, who preceded him in death.
Mr. George was an Inspector for the Mosquito Control Division of Charleston County. He was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1999, a graduate of the Wendelstat School of Umpiring, and a graduate of Wright State University. He was an avid baseball fan all his life, but especially during the period of time when he umpired college-level games. Additionally, Tyler was a faithful member of the Blue House AA program where he most often attended meetings and reached out to others.
