David Lewis Ault

David Lewis Ault, 78, of Cabot, Arkansas passed away peacefully on July 3, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas after a lengthy illness.  He was born November 13, 1940 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Lewis Henry and Martha Bradfield Ault.  Dave is survived by his loving wife, Sheila; brother, Daryl and his wife, Ruth Ault.

Dave attended Bowling Green State University, earned a diploma for Graduate School of Banking from University of Wisconsin, and completed the Senior Bank Officers Seminar at Harvard University.  Dave’s career was spent in banking and real estate.  He served over forty years as President/Chief Executive Officer for banks in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Arkansas, as well as National Bank Examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of Currency in Cincinnati, Ohio.  Dave was also the President and Chief Executive Officer for Summit Insurance Company (a subsidiary of Upper Valley Medical Center).  He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Star Bank in his hometown of Troy, Ohio from 1980 - 1992.  After his career in banking, Dave became Associate Broker/Owner of REMAX Real Estate Professionals in Paragould and a partner in DASA Enterprises.  He was a past member of Little Rock Dog Training Club and a member of First Baptist Church of Cabot.  Dave and Sheila loved spending time together golfing and boating, and with their dogs, Brutus, Lexis, Toby and Beau.  Due to Dave’s illness, Beau is being trained as a therapy dog.   

Dave’s wishes were to be cremated and inurned in the Chapel at Riverside Cemetery in Troy, Ohio.  Mrs. Ault would like to express her sincere appreciation to Arkansas Hospice for their wonderful, loving care of Dave during his illness.  She also suggests donations be made in memory of David Lewis Ault to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72116.  Arkansas arrangements by Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.  Ohio arrangements by Baird’s Funeral Home in Troy, Ohio.
