Carol (Wilson) Lytle

CAROL (WILSON) LYTLE, age 71, of Troy, passed away on September 21, 2017 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. She was born to the late Harold and Helen (Creager) Wilson.
Carol is survived by her husband of 47 years: Glenn Lytle; two daughters: Jennifer (Scott) Weaver of Upper Arlington and Stephanie (Ray) Voelker of Cincinnati; and three grandchildren: Zoe Weaver, Max Weaver and Elise Voelker.
Carol graduated from Kettering Fairmont High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Ashland College and her Master’s Degree from Bowling Green State University. Carol was a teacher with Xenia City Schools, Bluffton Schools and Pandora Gilboa Schools. She was a proofreader with Bowling Moorman.
Carol was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, sang in their choir, and served on council and several committees. Carol was an organist with First United Church of Christ and substituted at St. John's and other churches. She was a member of the Tippecanoe Community Band and the Musicians Club of Troy and had played in the Lima Area Concert Band and Kettering Civic Band. In addition to her music, Carol enjoyed crafting, needlework, traveling and especially her grandkids.
Her life will be celebrated at 1:00PM on Friday, September 29, 2017 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Troy with Rev. Donna Morton officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy. Friends may call from 5:30-8:00PM on Thursday at Baird Funeral Home in Troy.
