Deborah L. "Debbie" Durand

Deborah L. “Debbie” Durand, age 64, of Troy, OH passed away on April 26, 2024 at Hospice of Miami County in Troy.  She was born on December 19, 1959 in Troy to James and Georgiann (Morrissey) Shaeffer of Troy.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 14 years: Briton R. Durand; children: Lynda (Danny) Young of Troy and Michael (Kristen) Babjak of Columbus; siblings: Daniel and Mike of Troy and James Shaeffer of Troy; grandchildren: Caleb E. Young and Clara Marie Babjak.

Debbie was a 1978 graduate of Miami East High School where she was on the softball team.  She worked at US Bank for 36 years. She enjoyed sports including the Reds baseball, Packers football and basketball.  She deeply loved her friends, children and grandchildren and even her husband and she was so loved in return.  She loved Christmas, decorating and shopping all year long for the holiday season, auctions and garage sales.  She also loved the Fourth of July parade, vacationing at Myrtle Beach and Pigeon Forge and playing hillbilly golf.

Services will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM – 12:00PM on Wednesday.
