THOMAS ALAN TASKER, formerly of Troy, passed away on Thursday May 11, 2017 at 11:40 PM as a result of a car accident in McMinnville, OR. He was born on March 15, 1961 in Troy to Connie (Boyd) and the late Gerald Tasker.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents: Ernie and Ethel Tasker and Robert and Grace Boyd.

Tom is survived by his wife Laura (Osting) Tasker of Amity, Or; son’s: Adam Tasker of Johnson , VT and John Tasker and Fiance Miaja Lopez of Willamina, OR; brother: Dennis (Shelly) Tasker of Covington; in-laws: Norm and Karen Osting of Troy; sister and brother-in-laws: Jennifer McCuiston of Troy, Mary and Rockey Deaton of Spanawa, WA, John and Duanna Osting of Troy, and Sarah and Ryan Fine of Troy; lots of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tom worked at Friendly Ice Cream in Troy then moved to Massachusetts for a total of 25 years. Then had a few other jobs ending as operations manager at Chaucer Foods in Portland, OR.

Tom enjoyed fixing or remodeling homes that they lived in. He loved camping, fishing, and hiking with his family especially the annual camping trips with just him and his sons.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Troy Church of the Brethren, 1431 West Main Street, Troy, OH.
