Thomas Glaze Easton, age 75, of Troy, OH; formerly of Franklin, OH passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy.  Tom was born on May 24, 1942 in Dayton, OH to the late Arthur Thomas and Lucille (Jones) Easton.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years:  Mary Jayne (Hollingsworth) Easton on December 31, 2013.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Carrie and Matthew Kendall of Troy; son and daughter-in-law:  Kevin and Tani Swallow of Troy; grandchildren:  Zachary and Austin Kendall and Brandon and Bryan Swallow; sister:  Anne Easton-Hanson of Rockville,MD; brothers: Terry Easton of Franklin and Charlie (Chris) Easton of Richfield; and nieces and nephews:  Rachel, Tracey, Clinton and Cooper Easton and Luba, Andre and Ana Hanson.

Tom received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University and his PhD from RockefellerUniversity.

He retired after many years of service from Stony Brook University in Coram, NY. 

Tom was a brilliant man with a great sense of humor.  He enjoyed classical music and watching sports.  He loved being with family and especially following the grandkids in their sporting and band events.

Service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00-2:00PM on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
