Roy L. Willoughby, age 93, of Troy, OH, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at his home. He was born July, 23, 1924 in DeKalb County, AL to the late William W. and Mattie A. (McDowell) Willoughby. He was married to Eleanor Faye Willoughby, who preceded him in death on October 31, 2012.

Roy is survived by sons: Roger L. Willoughby of Collinsville AL, Robert L. (Mary) Willoughby of N.C.; daughters: Cynthia F. “Cid” (Monte) Godfrey of Troy; Wanda G. (Glenn) Wells of Rainsville, AL, and Linda E. (Donald) Payne of Sylvania, AL; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and fourteen great great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Roy was preceded in death by daughter: Kathy D. Willoughby; and siblings: Bessie Anderson, Lilly Wooten, Walter Willoughby, Orville Jr. “Shorty” Willoughby, and John Willoughby.

Roy was a member of Crossroad Church of God in Piqua. He was retired from Dinner Bell Foods of Troy.  Roy loved and cherished his time with his family.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, October 23, 2017 at Crossroads Church of God, Piqua, with Pastor Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens, Vandalia. The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Sunday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
