My heart aches at the thought of a fine person being called home.
I remember visits and Christmas at grandma's. The gathering at the big table for meals, games and hilarity which by chance now resides at my home. Bits and pieces is the some of my memories but I do remember laughter and his hardy from the belly laugh....it makes me smile even now.
I can only imagine the sense of loss you must be experiencing. I hope that the good memories can lighten the load with time.

Nancy, Doug &Terry
My condolences & my prayers be with your family in this time of hardship.
Love Brent

Dear Nancy, Terry, Doug and families, So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Alice shared the post on the Nashville UCC Facebook page with me. I almost bought his 100th birthday card today. Alice will give you hugs from us Wednesday. Marty remembers the time we met you for dinner in downtown Troy (his only time there I think) and how much he enjoyed being with you, Nancy & Bob. And I remember the last time we saw you in August 2014. Love & blessings, Maryanna

Terry, I was always so amazed at your dad and mother's longevity and so enjoyed the stories you shared and excitement of your dad turning 100 on the 13th. God had another plan, for him to celebrate in heaven with loved ones that wanted to see him and welcome him home. I did not personally get to know him but would have like to, We are thinking of all of you and am sorry for your loss.

My Dad worked at City Transfer and retired from there after many many years of service. When I was young, I helped clean the offices 2 evenings a week and on Sundays. To this day I remember the smell of the bills of lading and the carbon paper. Sometimes I would get to do "rounds" with the watchman. There was nothing more exciting than walking out through that warehouse and riding up in the old elevator. I learned from my dad to have nothing but respect for Mr. Boak. Truly a good man. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Thanks for your kind thoughts. My dad would have been flattered by your message from the son of a fellow worker. Your father was was one of the guys that made work fun.
