REBECCA J. “BECKY” (McPHERSON) LASKOWSKI, age 69, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center.  She was born May 6, 1948 in Greenfield, IN to the late John Edward and Carolyn (Morton) McPherson. 

Becky married William “Bill” Laskowski on November 4, 1977 and he survives.  She is also survived by her sister: Linda Butler; and her brother: John David McPherson, both of Ft. Wayne, IN.  Additionally, Becky is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Rachael (Laskowski) and Christopher Kemnic of Chicago, IL; two step daughters and sons-in-law: Donna (Laskowski) and Tom Domoleczny and Denise (Laskowski) and Stefan Huba; five grandchildren: Jason, Jordan, Griffin, Kyle and Hayleigh; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Becky graduated from Northside High School in Ft. Wayne, Class of 1966.  She started her career as a nurse at Parkview Hospital and dedicated her life to helping others until she retired earlier this year.  Becky was passionate for animals and served on the Paws Animal Shelter Board of Directors in Urbana, OH.  She also had worked at the Ft. Wayne Children’s Zoo.  She enjoyed training her dogs, playing golf on the Tuesday Ladies League and gardening.

Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Baird Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Ellis officiating.  Friends and family may call from 5:00–7:00 PM.
