RAYMOND FISTE, age, 81, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy.  He was born on December 26, 1935 in Dayton.  In 1979, he married Joyce A. (Hoover) Fiste and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by three children: Teresa (Jeffrey) Evans of Riverside, Timothy (Valarie) Fiste of TN and Tambra Brothers of Vandalia; two step daughters: Denise Hedrick of Troy and Doreen (Charles) Saunders of Covington; sister: Jean (Harold) Melvin of Troy; grandchildren: Noah Evans, Seaira Evans, Brittany (Everett) Huffman, Ryan (Ashley Lairson) Fields, Brandon (Nashley Mowen) Fields, Chuck Brothers, Angel Fiste, Lakota Fiste, Chris Fiste, Justin (Tiffany) Hedrick, Jason Hedrick, Joe Messaros and Nick Evans; and great grandchildren: Kylan Huffman, Quinn Huffman, Jaydon Fields, Johnathan Hedrick, Scarlette Hedrick, Cameron Hedrick and Kora Hedrick.  He was preceded in death by one step daughter: Debra Huslein; and one brother: George Fiste.

Raymond proudly served his country as a member of the US Marine Corp during the Korean War.  He was an avid fisherman and formerly enjoyed softball and bowling.  Raymond retired from St. Regis/IVEX Corporation in 1998 after 30 years.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Stephen Kiser officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Troy with veteran’s honors presented by Veterans Memorial Honor Guard of Troy.  Friends may call from 1:00-2:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
