The loss of a cherished loved one is the most devastating experiences a family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are family and friends who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. He is the God of all comfort. God will comfort you during this difficult time of grief. Our prayers are also with you and your family.

We were neighbors of Kathy, Kay and Bill and Mary when the girls were just starting to skate so we have since followed Kathy's involvement in the local skating club and of course her devotion to the national and international skaking competitions. She made herself and her family very proud of her accomplishments in the figure skating world. What a lovely lady and we are so very sad that she lost her fight with the Big "C". Rest in peace, Kathy, knowing you made a big difference in the lives of many young skaters.

My sister, Sandy (Wilson), was a best friend of Kathy's for years as we only grew up together about 1 block away. I'll never forget the tickets she bought for us when we were about 10 yrs. old to our first "Holiday On Ice". Kathy preformed in that show and we were both in the front row in awe. What a wonderful, fun time we shared.
May God's grace shine on Bill and her family.

It is so difficult to think of skating and not have Kathy come to mind. She was a one way super highway of encouragement and love for her sport and her club. In her efforts she reached so many far beyond Troy, the Midwest , and even the United States. It is the joy of her spirit that will forever grace the Hobart Arena and live in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to have known her.
