Mary F. (Long) Wion, age 94, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy. She was born July 30, 1923 in Troy to the late Charles L. and Elta Mae (Francis) Long.  On January 29, 1944 in Richmond, IN, Mary married Richard Wion and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2002.

Mary is survived by a son: Richard E. (Bernice) Wion of Minster; Grandchildren: Mary Jane (Matthew) Johns, Debra (Dallas) Perts, Joe (Kim) Plantz and Rick (Brandy) Wion; Great Grandchildren: Jacob and Nathan Johns, Seth and Sable Plantz, Michaela Goettemoeller, Devean Perts, and Sam Wion; and great great granddaughter: Hazel Mae Perts.  In addition to her parents and husband , Mary was preceded in death by daughter: Sharon Plantz; four sisters and four brothers.

Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy, and retired from Braun Brothers.  She loved her family and neighbors and enjoyed their visits  Mary also loved her cats and being outside, where she could walk barefoot on her lawn. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Baird Funeral Home.  Graveside services will follow at Casstown Cemetery.
