Lenora (Wears) Dill, age 87, of Troy, OH passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Sidney Care Center.  She was born on March 7, 1930 in Southside, West Virginia to the late  Walter and Truba (Weatherholt) Wears.  Lenora was married to her husband of 54 years: Paul J. Dill and he preceded her in death on July 18, 2008.

Lenora is survived by her daughter: Kathy J. Jackson of Troy; sister: Shirley (Don) Dill of Piqua; grandchildren:  Jennifer (Joe) Kalmar; Patrick (Nancy) Brennan; Christopher Brennan and Aimee (Brad) MacBlane; six great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Gavin, Landen and Jacob Kalmar and Rosalina and Penelope Brennan; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and her husband, Lenora was preceded in death by her daughter:  Linda Brennan; two sisters: Maxine and Catherine; and one brother: Walter Wears, Jr.

Lenora was a graduate of Troy High School.  She attended the First Baptist Church in Troy.  Along with her husband, she owned and operated the former Paul’s Ideal Market in Troy.  She enjoyed bowling, horseshoe pitching and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with the Chaplain Ed Ellis officiating.  Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 – 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
