Dennis M. Julien, age 88, of Troy, OH, passed away on Friday March 2, 2018 at Randall Residence in Tipp City. He was born June 11, 1929 in Columbus, OH to the late Cleveland Ben and Frances (McKinley) Julien.
Dennis is survived by Rev. Jeffrey (Melanie) Julien of Circleville, OH, Jennifer (Dr. James) Mathias of Tipp City; and Jonathan (Linde) Julien of Denver, CO; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years L. “Marian” Ward in 2004; second wife Alice in 2016, stepfather Arthur G. Greiner; siblings Don F. Julien and Dorothy Julien Bailey; 3 step sisters and 4 step brothers.
He was the first of his family to graduate from college with a B.S in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He was a lifelong Buckeye fan beginning as a stadium usher with the Boy Scouts.
Dennis was District Manager for 33 years with Ohio Bell, then worked for the National Auto Theft Bureau, and the PUCO. He was a Sergeant in the Ohio National Guard, a faithful church member, sang with the Miami-Shelby Chapter SPEBSQSA in American and Barber shop quartets. Organizations included Lt. Governor Optimist International, Troy Kiwanis, and a founder of Boy Scout Troop #413 in Tipp City.
Visitation will be at Baird Funeral Home, 555 N. Market St. Troy Ohio, from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday March 18th and a Celebration of Life will begin at 4pm. Graveside service will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio, on March 19th at 11am.
